We are the Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi at UC Berkeley and are honored to share a glimpse into the heart of our sisterhood with you. Whether gathering for impactful philanthropy events or simply enjoying time together in our beautiful home, the bonds we form are truly unforgettable.
Alpha Phi is a chapter filled with driven, intelligent, and compassionate women who continually inspire one another to pursue their passions and achieve their boldest aspirations. We are a community of women committed to leadership, resilience, and empowerment, with a shared mission to create meaningful change for women of all backgrounds.
Our motto, ‘Union Hand in Hand,’ beautifully reflects the strength of our sisterhood. We support each other through every challenge and celebrate each other’s successes. To be an Alpha Phi is to join a sisterhood that will last a lifetime, empowering you to grow and thrive both personally and professionally.

Philanthropy
Alpha Phis are passionate about advancing the lives of women around the world. Whether it’s initiating community service efforts, raising awareness for heart health or navigating the unique and challenging issues facing women on today’s college campuses, we stand together boldly to make a difference on our campuses and in our communities. In 1956, Alpha Phi became one of the first women’s fraternities to establish a Foundation. Today, the Alpha Phi Foundation supports Alpha Phi’s leadership training and programming, awards need-based and merit-based scholarships, invests in the advancement of women’s heart health and preserves our rich and expansive heritage.
Sisterhood
Lambda is a close-knit group of women standing side-by-side and hand-in-hand supporting each other through the ups and downs of life. Alpha Phi means always having someone to confide in, someone to share new experiences with, someone to conquer difficult challenges with, and someone to cheer you on as you achieve things you never thought possible. In Alpha Phi, you’ll find sisters who want the best for one another and expect the best of each other—every step of the way and through every season of life. From movie nights to rock climbing to a trip to Tahoe, Alpha Phi takes pride in our sisterhood!
